Marketing and Communications Director

Tracey Lynn Pearson serves ACM as director, marketing and communications. Prior to joining the team Tracey supported ACM’s communications programs through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) PR agency of record, Weber Shandwick – one of the world’s leading global public relations firms with offices in major media, business and government capitals around the world.

As an account supervisor for firm Tracey managed the day-to-day activities supporting the MEDC and PlanetM, a partnership of mobility organizations, communities, educational institutions, research and development, and government agencies working together to develop and deploy the mobility technologies driving the future.

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Tracey executed media relations campaigns, social strategies, and integrated marketing communications for brands recognized around the world while at Lambert, Edwards and Associates (now known as “Lambert”), MotorCity Casino Hotel and Airfoil PR.  Tracey has had the great pleasure of working with several brands that represent various sectors including: banking, hospitality, automotive, government, non-profit, technology, retail, and regulated gaming.

During her tenure at MotorCity, she managed PR for the regions first slot bonusing system, theater and event space Sound Board, and the only AAA Four Diamond restaurant in the city of Detroit, Iridescence.

Throughout her undergraduate studies, Tracey worked at GlobalHue, an integrated marketing and digital advertising agency. Prior to earning her degree, she was accountable for coordinating America’s Navy College Tour, a cross-country recruitment effort by the Navy and overseeing logistics for Wal-Marts sponsorship at ESSENCE Fest.

Tracey holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Wayne State University and a master’s in integrated marketing communications from Eastern Michigan University.
