Sushanta Das

Technical Director

As Technical Director at American Center for Mobility, Sushanta is primarily responsible for technical leadership and program management on grants, government contracted and corporate funded programs. He is also responsible for developing and managing technology roadmap on the evolving testing and validation needs of the industry and working with the Operations team to integrate and implement technology solutions into ACM facility. He leads ACM’s testing and standards committee activities.

Sushanta brings nearly two decades of experiences in wireless communications and intelligent transportation research, innovation, and development activities. Prior to joining ACM, Sushanta was leading the Advanced Connectivity Technologies team at Stellantis automobile company. He successfully developed and led many collaborative projects with both industry and academic partners on connected vehicles technologies during his employment at Ford Motor Company, Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center, and General Motors India Science Lab in various capacities. He was the Co-PI of CAMP CV2X Evaluation project with Ford, GM, Hyundai-Kia, Nissan and Qualcomm. He also served the 5GAA Board as an elected Board Delegate for two consecutive terms in 2020 and 2021

Sushanta is currently a Senior Member of IEEE and a Fellow of IETE (India). He received his MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas and B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay.
